READING Borough Council is teaming up with the charity Creative Lives to bring funding grants to individuals, groups, and businesses.
The initiative will see £23,000 of funding made available to help residents nurture their creative side.
Applications for grants of either £500 or £1,000 are now open and will close on Wednesday, January 31.
Funding could support projects which would see activities set up in a new space, such as a school or cafe, community events such as exhibitions or screening, or schemes to help residents learn new skills.
Adele Barnett-Ward, Reading Borough Council’s Lead Councillor for Leisure and Culture, said: “Do you have a creative skill you’d like to share with others, or are you part of a group that would like to do something creative?
“Creative activities play a crucial role in fostering community connections and individual well-being.
“The Seed Funding for Creative Activities initiative is a fantastic opportunity for local groups and businesses to bring people together through imaginative projects.”
Applications close on Wednesday, January 31, and successful applicants will be contacted in March next year.
