A woman has been jailed after repeatedly breaching a court order and attempting to enter a property in Reading.
Amber Ridgewell, 30, of no fixed address, was sentenced to six months in prison at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 21 March following a Thames Valley Police investigation.
At the same hearing, Ridgewell pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and one count of attempted burglary.
The court heard that on 2 March, Ridgewell attempted to enter a property on Kendrick Road. She left the scene after being confronted by the occupant.
Between 3 and 16 March, Ridgewell breached her CBO on four occasions by entering communal areas at Quadrant Court in Jubilee Square and Hieatt Close.
She was arrested and charged on 20 March.
PC Scott Hepburne, from the Reading East neighbourhood policing team, said residents in the Katesgrove area had become increasingly distressed by Ridgewell’s behaviour.
“Residents in the Katesgrove area had become increasingly distressed by her entering communal areas of residential blocks and causing alarm,” he said.
“Anti-social behaviour is not something residents should have to tolerate, and we remain committed to tackling it in all its forms. Safe and secure neighbourhoods are a priority for Thames Valley Police.”
