WITH the nation ready for a four-day party, Reading Buses is operating some special Platinum Jubilee services, including the return of its open top bus.

Bank holiday timetables apply, with some additional evening services to help the Ding get out and about during the celebrations. Residents living in West Berkshire can enjoy free travel thanks to a partnership with its council. And the Green Line 702 will feature its special Jubilee Bus, with stops including Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace Road until Sunday.

On Jubilee Thursday, Friday and Sunday, the Purple 17 route will include the special open top bus, weather permitting. It will run from 9.24am through to 5.52pm on the route that runs from Tilehurst through to the Three Tuns on Wokingham Road.

The West Berks offer only applies to journeys that start within the West Berkshire Council area, so if the return journey starts in Reading, passengers will pay for that.
