TILEHURST residents have once again come together to mark Remembrance Sunday with a number of displays and events in Reading.
Turn Tilehurst Red sees the annual observance of Remembrance through the installation of decorations around Tilehurst, community events, and raising money to build a giant poppy.
A new statue has been placed outside Tilehurst Library, School Road, depicting a female soldier.
Poppies have been placed around the village, including on railings outside a number of local schools and community spaces.
This year will see the United Reformed Church is opening its doors to showcase a number of displays with details about the First World War.
Turn Tilehurst Red is showing its displays in Tilehurst until Remembrance Sunday, November 12.
The giant poppy will be constructed in The Triangle on Friday, November 10, from 9am-3pm, including choirs from nearby schools.
