A Thatcham disability charity has been announced as a partner for a ‘Festival of Inclusivity’ coming to Windsor this July.
Swings & Smiles in Thatcham partnered with multi-award-winning Parallel Windsor to support its annual fully-accessible event on Sunday, July 7, where people of all ages and abilities were invited to challenge themselves and get active.
The charity will be setting up a sensory space with accessible play equipment to engage children, helping them to explore their senses through play in a safe environment.
Parallel is an innovative social enterprise with a mission to support D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent communities to live life to the full in mainstream society.
Swings & Smiles provides accessible play spaces for local disabled children as well as respite care and support for their families.
“We’re incredibly proud to be an event partner for Parallel Windsor,” said CEO of Swings & Smiles Rhonda Nicklin. “It’s a charity that aligns with our own values and mission to create a fully inclusive society where people of all abilities can thrive and flourish.”
“I could not be happier to welcome Swings & Smiles and their families to Parallel Windsor,” said Andrew Douglass, Founder of Parallel. “I have so much admiration for the way this incredible team combines its love and passion for all the children it supports with so many innovative campaigns that generate such a positive force within the communities they serve.”
Parallel Windsor will be held in the grounds of Windsor Great Park all day on Sunday 7th July. For more information and to buy tickets visit www.parallellifestyle.com/windsor2024
