Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted by a group outside a busy shopping centre in Reading.
Thames Valley Police said the incident happened at around 18:50 GMT on Saturday 10 January, as a group of girls were leaving The Oracle onto Minster Street.
According to officers, the group was approached by another group of girls who asked them what they were looking at before launching an attack.
The victim, a teenage girl, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. She did not require hospital treatment.
The offenders are described as a group of white and black girls.
Investigating officer PC James Dennings said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw this assault or the moments leading up to it.
“If you have footage of the incident or any information that could assist our enquiries, please contact us by calling 101 or making an online report via our website, quoting reference number 43260015139.”
Police have urged anyone who was in the area at the time and may have recorded the incident on a mobile phone to come forward.
