Thames Valley School in Reading recently welcomed pupils, families and staff to its annual summer fayre – a highly anticipated and much-loved event in the school calendar.
The fayre featured the return of the popular 24ft Iron Man inflatable slide, along with a new addition for 2025: an equally impressive inflatable darts game. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of games and stalls run by staff, including tombola, archery, hook-a-duck, face painting, guess the weight of the cake, and a bean bag toss.
The sunshine made for a fantastic day, with many choosing shady spots to enjoy the delicious BBQ food and cool drinks on offer.
“The summer fayre is a wonderful way for our whole school community to come together,” said Headteacher Gemma Bulley.
“It’s always such a joyful event and a real celebration of our pupils, families and staff. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.”
The event is one of many the school holds throughout the year to celebrate its community and give students the chance to relax, connect and have fun outside the classroom.
Thames Valley School is a special school for autistic children and young people in Reading and is part of Liberty Academy Trust.
