A CHARITY shop in Reading is set to reopen after flooding damage caused it close earlier this year.
The Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent House charity shop in central Reading, opposite Broad Street Mall, was forced to close back in July when an upstairs flat flooded.
The ceiling of the shop saw heavy water damage, which led to the interior of the shop becoming damaged too.
A sign was placed on the front door which explained that it would be closed while the water was cleared by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and damages fixed.
However on Tuesday, November 7, goods and stands in the shop had been replaced, and a new sign had been added to the front window, explaining that the branch would be reopening.
It is now due to reopen on Thursday, November 9, from 9.30am.
