NOT many people will be holding out in the barbers for four decades, but thankfully fans of this Haircut don’t mind waiting.
Eighties pop stars Haircut 100 are getting back on the road, reliving their glory days when they had hits galore and a comic strip detailing their fun adventures.
Back in May, the group organised two comeback gigs in London and Oxford, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the album Pelican West. They sold out in 20 minutes.
So, the band is getting back together and will be playing a 15-date tour this autumn, with Reading one of the destinations.
Nick Heyward said: “40 years since ‘Pelican West’ went Platinum, and we thought a few people might want to celebrate with us at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire… Wow! What a fantastic night it was back in May this year.
“Our fans are incredible and tickets sold out so fast that our families and friends almost missed the boat, those tickets became gold dust.
“But we are coming back with a tour to beat all tours this autumn, and we can’t wait.
“All the hits that you love and new tracks that we are bursting to share with you. See you all there for the biggest tour that Haircut 100 have ever undertaken.”
The show will feature hits from the album, other classics and some new treats to enjoy – but don’t expect a look in on a new comic strip, sorry.
The band will be at Reading’s Hexagon Theatre on Saturday, October 28.
Tickets cost £34.50 standing downstairs, £37 seated balcony. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult and seated in the balcony.
There is also a VIP package, which is seated only. This is £101, and includes entry, priority seating, a pre-show meet and greet with photo opportunity, a VIP lanyard, and an exclusive Haircut 100 merchandise item.
