MARCH of the Mods is returning to The Face Bar for its annual event.
It will see live music and DJ sets from a range of acts in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
March of the Mods has been taking place in Reading for a decade, and organiser Trever Absolom explains: “It takes place across the country.
“It’s a day-long event with about nine hours of mod, Northern soul, and Motown sets from four of our DJs.
“And there’ll be a full set from bands like The Junction, The Echo, The Highwaisters, and Wardour Street, some of which we’ll be streaming through the day too.
“They all play The Who, The Clash, and Britpop, and it’s by Reading people for Reading people.”
He also explained: “Blue Collar will be bringing their street food to the event, which people will be able to find out front.”
The event is also seeking prizes for its charity raffle, Mr Absolom said.
“If you’re a local business, you can join fellow donors Morissons in contributing to the raffle, which always contributes to the total raised for the charity on the day.”
While regular tickets for the event have sold out, there is also a waiting list for further release tickets which may be freed up in the run-up to the event.
Businesses or donors can also apply to make contributions to the event’s raffle.
Donations and the ticket waiting list are available by contacting organisers through the March of the Mods Reading event page on Facebook.
March of the Mods will take place at The Face Bar on Saturday, March 4, from 4pm.
