READING has been named as one of the top cities or towns to live in for graduates.
Research compiled by Talos360 has shown that Reading is in the top 10 places for those looking to move after completing their tertiary education.
Talos360 consulted data about factors such as average salaries in given locations, housing affordability, and job availability in popular degree fields.
While Derby ranked top of the list, Reading took 7th place.
Southampton ranked second, Liverpool third, Cambridge fourth, Nottingham Fifth, and Edinburgh sixth.
Machester trailed in eighth, followed by Portsmouth and Middlesborough in ninth and tenth respectively.
It follows Reading placing 10th for highest job availability and 21st in affordability.
Reading was also shown to have the highest average job salary in the list with £43,387, but rent was shown to be more than 20% of resident’s salaries on average.
In the town there are around 36 job-seekers per vacancy.
Elsewhere, Hull was shown to be the most affordable place to live, while Brighton was shown to be least affordable, as more than 55% of residents’ average salary goes towards rent.
Cambridge topped the rank for job availability, followed by Manchester and Bristol.
