A former staff member at Zerodegrees bar restaurant in Reading has been praised for raising money and supporting the LGBTQ+ community by organising special events and hosting fundraisers.

Anchenar Quinto has been nominated for the Hospitality Award, sponsored by REDA, Reading’s Economic & Destination Agency.

His nominator said: “He has tirelessly supported charity events, community events and LGBQT+ events in Reading.

“Anchenar has worked with loads of businesses and communities to achieve these huge events. Even after leaving hospitality this year he continues to be active in local community events and is often called on for help and support.”

Archenor has also been nominated for The Inspiration Award, sponsored by McDonalds, and as Employee of the Year, sponsor Reading Buses, and in the Community Champion category, sponsored by Reading Football Club.

His nominator said Anchenar has spent the last 10 years championing the LGBTQ+ community in Reading promoting the community through local businesses and networking.
