There are certainly
outfits that are
offensive to good taste,
And uniforms that
Shout oppression or
discrimination by race.
But China is making
moves to ban clothes that
hurt the nation’s feelings,
What a tricky concept!
So subjective … it
leaves my head reeling.
Flesh coloured leggings …
Oh no … that lady’s
forgotten her skirt!
Does that encounter,
brief as it is, cause
us collective hurt?
Kimonos are out …
for their association
with Japan,
If we followed suit,
would Lederhosen
receive a British ban?
