PANGBOURNE railway station and Tidmarsh Road have been closed by police this evening (Thursday, January 4) after a person was hit by a train.
The railway line is expected to be closed until midnight.
It is thought to be linked to the incident on Tidmarsh Road, but this has not been confirmed.

British Transport Police have closed all four railway lines as they continue their investigation.
This has added to the disruption on the railway, with trains already delayed due to heavy rain and flooding.
All entrances to the railway station on Shooters Hill have been sealed off with police officers directing people away from the scene.

A Great Western Railway spokesperson said: “We are currently experiencing significant disruption on the network and customers are advised NOT TO TRAVEL.
“Flooding has closed several routes and a person has been hit by a train near Reading.
“Disruption is expected until the end of the day and you may not be able to complete your journey.
“If possible, please return in your direction of travel and make alternative arrangements. Please keep receipts for future reimbursement.”
Tidmarsh Road has been closed at the roundabout by the High Street.
Thames Valley Police and British Transport Police have been contacted for a comment.
