A CHANCE to explore the events of the first Christmas is coming to Reading town centre later this month.

St Laurence’s in Friar Street is opening its doors so people can enjoy an interactive display that includes a light installation, a life-sized stable and craft activities.

There will also be free hot mulled punch, hot chocolate, mince pies and other seasonal refreshments.

The event takes place from 2pm to 3.30pm on Sunday, December 17. Entry is free.
