A CALL has been made for MINI car owners to sign up for a big adventure taking place in Oxford next month.
There are just 40 places left on the Mile of Minis Challenge, which will be held on Sunday, March 12.
Organised by The Italian Job charity team, it will raise funds for Buttle UK to help families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis by providing help to pay for basic items including children’s beds and household appliances.
The event starts at the MINI plant in Oxford. Participants can see how the cars are assembled, before going off in a convoy on a special route avoiding A roads and motorways, before finishing at Silverstone’s Interactive Museum.
The cost of entering a team – a car and two people – is just £35. This includes breakfast, the Italian Job navigational roadbook, an event sticker, an Italian Job baseball hat, and a fundraising pack.
Additional passengers pay £14, and there is a charge for Silverstone.
Partipciants should also raise at least £30 in donations.

“At a time of spiralling prices, the impact of food and fuel poverty is stark and deeply worrying.
“The cyclical nature of the financial difficulty and its impact on children’s mental health and educational outcomes is only going to get worse as this ongoing period of crisis persists.
“Help us create more chances for children by taking part in the Mile of Minis Challenge.
“Every pound you raise will go directly to helping children living in poverty and experiencing crisis.”
