A GANG attacked a man in Katesgrove, leaving him with injuries that needed to be treated by medical experts.
The incident happened between midnight and 2.30am on Sunday, July 9 (Saturday night into Sunday morning).
Four people robbed a man in his twenties in Katesgrove Lane, off Pell Street.
One of the offenders grabbed the victim by his neck. He was punched and kicked, and had a bruised and swollen eye. He was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment but since discharged.
The gang stole a black rucksack, a cream Diesel jacket, a Nokia mobile phone, and his medication.
They are described as being aged between 20 and 40. Two were white, two were black.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Michael Hanson, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw this robbery, or anyone with information about it, to please get in touch.
