Former Reading FC manager Ruben Selles has been sacked following a dreadful run in the Championship with Sheffield United.
Selles took over at the start of the season but has lasted just five matches having failed to pick up a single point.
Selles became a popular figure during his time at Reading as he managed the team on and off the field with class and dignity throughout a tumultuous time under the ownership of Dai Yongge.
Helping the club to survive relegation in his first season, Selles’ side pushed on ion his second campaign and he had the team in 6th place in League One before he departed in December.
He left to join Hull City in the Championship and despite keeping them in the division, he was sacked at the end of the season.
He made the move to Sheffield United, who lost in the play-off final last season, with high expectations as one of the favourites for promotion.
However, it’s been a shocking couple of months in charge for the Spaniard.
His Blades team lost all five of their Championship games which led to the board making the quick decision to dismiss him of his duties.
