Football round-up: Odama and Green strike for the Sumas

Wokingham Town finished its Combined Counties League Premier North home matches with a feisty 2-2 draw at Lowther Road against Edgware & Kingsbury.

Jaden Odama and Sam Green were on target for the Sumas, who travel to Edgware on Saturday before the final game of the season at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

Reading City suffered a 0-4 reverse at Scours Lane against play-off chasing Bedfont Sports. The Citizens will round off their season on April 19th with a home tie against Burnham.

Woodley United remain rooted to the foot of Division One despite picking up a point at home to London Samurai Rovers. Creech and Day were on target for Woodley.

In the Thames Valley Premier League, leaders Westwood Wanderers enjoyed a morale-boosting win on penalties over second-placed Maidenhead Town in the league cup quarter finals.

Fifth-placed Wargrave also progressed to the semi-finals of the league cup with a 3-1 win over Wokingham Town Reserves.

In the Southern Region Women’s Football League, Ascot United were crowned champions after a 7-0 win over Selsey.

Reading FC Community Trust Women won 6-2 against Badshot Lea to remain in eighth place, two places behind Woodley United who suffered a 1-2 home reverse at Bulmershe against AFC Porchester.

In Division One North, Tilehurst Panthers won 7-1 against Kidlington Youth, with Georgia Hayes and Leah Why both grabbing two goals.

In Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League, Ashridge Park picked up four points – a win and a draw – from their double-header against Barton United at Cantley Park.

Finchampstead Ladies traveled to Oxford City Development and suffered a 3-1 defeat.

In the Development Division, another double-header saw Burghfield collect four points with a win and a draw over Finchampstead Reserves.

Burghfield remained top – seven points ahead of Finchampstead with four games remaining.
