AN OPTICIAN in Reading is moving to new premises as it seeks to continue four decades of providing eye care in the town.

EyeSite on Friar Street has announced it is moving to a new site after redevelopment began at the start of the year on premises around the corner on Broad Street.

The new site will bring space for expanded facilities, including new up-to-date equipment and a better provision of eyewear.

The company says it plans to “set new benchmarks” for clinical provision for customers and has also announced that patient records such as contact lens detail, will be transferred to the new site.

EyeSite began serving residents in Reading in 1984 and is now set to complete the move to 87-87a Broad Street on Tuesday, May 7.

Helen Hallett, Practice Manager at Eyesite, expressed enthusiasm about the transition, emphasising the opportunities it brings for patients by offering a large selection of designer frames and sunglasses combined with the same friendly, professional team and innovative optical equipment.
