“We have done a big clean with the kids and plan to continue doing a clear up on the public football courts regular in Dee Park estate next the Dee

Space. This will include a major tidy up and major cleaning of the debris left on the floor.

“We started up just two months ago and have come in with a vision to secure access to Dee Spaces facilities two to three times a week for the youth club we plan to run.

“The St Michael’s business manager has granted us access to their sports field and sports hall for additional training and activities and the headteacher of Ranikhet School has granted us access to their astro turf courts for football training.

“We’ve had meetings with local councillors and the council and have gained a lot of support from our local community and other organisations.”

As well as this, Dee Park are aiming to establish a football team and a basketball team in the near future which they plan to make free for kids to join.

They continued: “We’re also aiming to get a football club going from the ground up and a basketball ball team too.

“It’s for the future generations to come that we aim to do this for. This will all be free, no charge to play or join.

“The main problem we are facing at the moment is support and equipment so if anyone is willing to help the cause, please feel free to join us in making our community a better place.”
