YOUNG and old came together for an Easter egg hunt in Caversham.

Staff from Signature at Caversham visited Orchard Day Nursery for the seasonal event.

The home, which offers residential, nursing, respite, and dementia care to older folk, has a partnership with the nursery, which has included Christmas celebrations, and a bird-watching event.

These activities have created an opportunity for children and older people to interact and take part in shared activities.

For the Easter meet-up, Signature at Caversham’s Easter Bunny presented the toddlers with some sweet treats.

Future events are already in the works, with Signature’s residents and the nursery pupils teaming up for a summertime picnic in June.

Karen Fleming, client liaison manager at Signature at Caversham, said: “I believe our Easter egg hunt was a resounding success.

“We’re so happy to help our residents and the children at Orchard Day Nursery to connect, and I can definitely speak on behalf of our home and say it’s a joy for all every time we get together.

“We’re looking forward to many more community events together, in particular our summer picnic.”
