An upcoming cafe and bar in Reading town centre has applied to sell wines, cocktails, beers and more to guests.
The Notes coffee roasters and bar was announced as one of the occupants of the Station Hill development last October.
The London-based chain runs 12 cafe’s and bars and a roastery where the coffee is produced at the Blackwall Trading Estate.
The Notes coffee roasters and bar in Reading will be the company’s first venture outside the capital.
At the time of the announcement, Robert Robinson and Fabio Ferreira, co-founders of Notes, said: “We are thrilled to bring our single-origin speciality coffee to Reading.
“We have been planning to expand outside of London, and Station Hill offers a unique blend of a travel hub, high-spec offices, and a vibrant local community.
“We are excited to be at the heart of this thriving area – a place to enjoy brunch, high-quality coffee, and unwind after work.”
The cafe will serve all-day brunch, sandwiches coffee, teas and soft drinks to customers.
Notes also wants to sell wines, cocktails, craft beers and lager to guests.
To sell alcohol, the company requires a premises licence from Reading Borough Council’s licensing department.
Notes has therefore applied to sell alcohol between 10am and 10pm each day of the week.
A statutory consultation into the application is currently live.
