THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a collision which left a woman with serious injuries.
At around 6pm on Monday, November 3, there was a collision between a pedestrian and someone riding an e-bike in Elgar Road, at the junction with Alpine Street.
The collision left the pedestrian, a woman aged in her fifties, with serious injuries–including a head injury.
She remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The rider of the e-bike stopped at the scene of the collision, but left without providing details.
He was described as an Asian male aged between 16 and his early 20s, with dark-coloured curly hair.
He was not wearing a helmet, but was described as wearing dark-coloured clothing.
The e-bike is described as an electric bike with motorcycle style ‘shell ons’ and dark grey in colour.
Investigating officer PC Eden Hamblin, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also urge the rider of the e-bike to get in touch with police as soon as possible.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam, please check this and contact us if it has captured anything which may assist our investigation.
