THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault on a bus in Reading.

During the incident, a bus driver was assaulted on the number 15 bus approaching Dryland House at around 3.20pm on Monday, August 4.

The victim was spat at by the offender whilst also being subject to verbal abuse.

The offender is described as a male of skinny build, aged in his late teens or early twenties, around 5ft 10ins tall, with short brown hair.

He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.

Investigating Officer, PC Daniel McMenamin, said: “We believe this was an unprovoked attack on a bus driver just trying to do his job.

“I am also appealing to anyone with dash-cam or mobile phone footage to please get in touch.
