The Berkshire Clinic has opened its doors at Winnersh Triangle business park. The bespoke independent medical clinic provides access to leading cardiologist consultants and diagnostic tests all on one site, at its 2,400 sq. ft clinic. The state-of-the-art clinic has been founded by four local consultant cardiologists who have well established local NHS and private practices.
The Berkshire Clinic isn’t the first science and medical business to move to Winnersh Triangle, it’s fast becoming a scientific hub for businesses. BD, a global medical technology company that is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. They relocated its UK operations to Winnersh Triangle in 2017, moving into 44,000 sq. ft of premium office space, taking the first three floors at 1030 Eskdale Road.
During lockdown, BD was praised for converting its office into a commissioning base for urgently needed hospital supplies. They converted an entire floor at Winnersh Triangle into a station where infusion pumps, which were needed for the NHS Nightingale hospitals, were sourced, shipped and commissioned. The company and its staff were announced as winners of the Thames Valley Local Hero Awards, celebrating the work of local businesses and individuals for their efforts in supporting the country during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hollister Incorporated is an independent, employee-owned company that develops, manufactures, and markets healthcare products and services worldwide, serving healthcare professionals and patients for 100 years. In 2020 the global healthcare company, which is headquartered in Chicago, sold its UK premises in Wokingham and relocated its workforce to Winnersh Triangle. Hollister UK took 10,700 sq. ft of space on the first-floor wing at Building 1010 on a 10-year lease.
Kowa who is based next door to The Berkshire Clinic, opposite the onsite hotel Crowne Plaza, was originally founded in 1894, selling cotton fabric in Japan. From these humble beginnings, they have grown into a global enterprise with a diverse business portfolio, with the UK division of the pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing company calling Winnersh Triangle home.
