SOME Whitley and Shinfield residents were surprised to see a black hot air balloon fly over their heads last weekend.
Social media users shared pictures of the striking 120 foot balloon, adorned with what seemed to be a golden logo, with most unsure as to who or what it was in aid of.
After a bit of collaborative digging, residents realised that it belonged to Crazy Bear Hotel, Beaconsfield, which offers premium hot air balloon experiences to its customers. Bookings can be made from £129, with breakfast and post-flight champagne options available.
The one-hour journey takes in breathtaking views of the countryside of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and their surrounding areas. The chief pilot, Spencer Craze has more than 20 years’ experience and holds commercial balloon licences for the UK and Kenya.
