The Reading Vegan Festival returns to the town on Saturday September 20.
The eighth annual event is free, and is happening between 11am and 4pm at The Market House Reading, Market Place and Broad Street in central Reading.
There will be more than 40 stalls selling a wide range of plant-based street food, fresh juices, vegan desserts, ethical products and eco-friendly gifts, as well as charity stands. There is also a programme of talks and workshops, including a sanctuary owner, a patisserie chef, a meditation session and a stand-up comedian.
The event is suitable for all of the family with live music, a ‘Kids Chill Zone’ and games from Explore Learning.
Attendees will also receive an array of free tasters and free goodies, including OGGS cupcakes.
The festival is 100% ethical, with only exclusively vegan businesses trading. This is to fulfil Reading Vegan Festival’s mission of supporting vegan businesses and to help promote the cause for the animals, for the environment and for human health.
Sarah Zeneli from Reading Vegan Festival, said: “Reading Vegan Festival is a fantastic event to raise awareness in the community about veganism and to showcase it as the fun, friendly and cruelty-free lifestyle that it is.
“We are so grateful that the festival has become a key event in many people’s calendars, with incredible local support and many travelling in from different towns too.
“We are also very excited to be working with The Market House who will be turning completely vegan for the event again.”
