ROYAL Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service has announced that a fire which broke out near Southcote is now “under control.”
Firefighters were called to the incident just before 5pm on Tuesday, August 9, where a fire had broken out in the open.
RBFRS advised residents nearby to close windows and avoid the area wherever possible.
At 6:44pm, RBFRS posted to Twitter to say that the fire was under control, though fire crews would retain a presence at the site for some time.
