THAMES Valley Police is seeking witnesses as part of an investigation into an incident of grievous bodily harm in Reading.

At around 1.40 am on Monday, July 28, a man and a woman, both in their thirties, were attacked by a man in Western Elms Avenue.

Both victims received injuries and were treated in hospital, where the male victim still remains.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Andrew Philpott said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed what happened to please contact us.

“I would particularly like to hear from anybody who may have footage on their dash-cams or door bells which could help us in our investigation. You may see an increased police presence in the area.

“Anybody with any information that may assist us is urged to contact Thames Valley Police, either online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43250380436.
