Iain Hornal has blown us away with his playing, and here he is heading up a new band packed with some of the best musicians we’ve ever heard.
The band’s debut song is a belter and, well, we’ll wax lyrical about it for some time to come.

Big Horizon – In The Beginning
It’s wonderful when you hear of people growing up in the area and then going on to do great things./ One example is musician Iain Hornal.
He left the area when he was 16, but not before starting his first band called Eli who did a weekly jam in their drummers’ garage.
Since then Iain has achieved great success as a musician and he returned to the town of his youth recently, playing at Reading Hexagon, as a member of the touring band of the legendary 10cc.
He also plays in stadiums and arenas with ELO.
He clearly has quite a reputation.
Now, Iain has teamed up with some of his fellow touring musicians to form a brand new band called Big Horizon and this is their debut single.
With the credentials of the band members, it’s no surprise that it is brilliant. With an uplifting ‘yacht rock’ style, perfect production and playing, overlaid with excellent vocals from Iain, it’s so good that you could see the band playing arenas in their own right in the not-too-distant future.
Out of interest too, if you were at Wokingham Festival last year you’ll have seen another band member, Lee Pomeroy, playing bass with the legendary Caravan.

Puma Theory – Sobering Lights
We featured Puma Theory previously with their excellent debut single and they have just released their second. It’s another great piece of melodic indie rock.
