British indie pop bands The Primitives and Blueboy are set to perform in Reading next month.
The show will take place on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at the Face Bar on Chatham Street, with doors opening at 8pm. Tickets are available via WeGotTickets.
Formed in Coventry in 1985, The Primitives are best known for their 1988 hit “Crash.” The band’s original lineup included vocalist Kieron McDermott, guitarist Paul Court, bassist Steve Dullaghan and drummer Pete Tweedie, though they are most closely associated with vocalist Tracy Tracy, who replaced McDermott early in the group’s career.
Blueboy, an indie pop band from Reading formed in 1989, will provide support. Signed to the influential Sarah Records label, Blueboy achieved legendary status in the independent music scene and counted broadcasters John Peel, Janice Long and Steve Lamacq among their fans. The February performance marks their first show in Reading for several years.
