The Berkshire Industrial Archaeology Group (BIAG) is to host a talk by historian Ann Smith on the history of Woodley.
She is the editor of the book A History of Woodley, and will share her insights on the heritage of this once small and distinctive village, now a small town.
It will include a look at its aviation history, and the importance of the Biro to the economnu.
The talk will begin at 7:30 pm at St Mary’s Church, Castle Street RG1 7RD on Monday, April 17. Refreshments will be available, and entry is £2.50.
