Shinfield Cricket Club, despite its modest size, has been making waves in the world of cricket, celebrating not just a glittering award day, but a year full of accomplishments and community engagement.

Their award day took place at the Manor Ground as trophies were distributed to both their junior and adult teams. The club celebrated its successful season at their new ground, taking advantage of their top notch facilities.

One of the outstanding achievements of the season saw the under 11s side take victory in their league campaign.

The club prides itself on what it believes to be a pillar of support for the local community and offers its facilities to local schools and the Berkshire hub program for their matches.

Despite cricket being primarily a summer sport, Shinfield CC ensures that the sport is played almost all year round.

Autumn training at the club is well underway for all age groups and post-Christmas, they will kick off a new season.

More than 10 of Shinfield’s young talents have earned sports in the prestigious Berkshire County and hub programs in the hope of producing the next stars of the sport.

As the club prepares for a new season, they will be hoping to replicate the success stories of the previous year.
