ONE LUCKY motorist will be able to drive a MINI Cooper EV for free for six months, thanks to a contract giveaway from Reading FC sponsors Select.

It comes as part of the Select Live expo next week which will see the car lease up for grabs as well as a big live event aimed at business owners and professionals.

The SCL Stadium will welcome businesses and fleet professionals and invite them to immerse themselves in all aspects of electric vehicle, with more than 40 of the market’s leading battery-powered vehicles available to explore.

For local businesses looking to make the switch to electric, there are expert-led advice sessions on running battery-powered fleets, from EV charging to employee salary sacrifice schemes.

Among the guest speakers is Adrian Keen, consultant and former CEO with Instavolt, the rapid EV charging network specialists.

Adrian will be talking about how the transition to EVs can be accelerated through easy, reliable public charging.

A VIP box at Reading FC is also up to be won for a matchday experience.

Shane Pither, Head of Select Electric at Select Car Leasing, said: “We can’t wait to welcome guests to Select Live, and we’re also delighted to be able to give away a short-term lease contract on a MINI Cooper Electric–completely free of charge to one lucky attendee.

“The MINI Cooper Electric is a fantastic car, coming with a range of at least 180 miles between charges and styling that’s simply unmistakable.

“It’s a hatchback that really showcases the benefits of green motoring, particularly for first-time EV drivers.

“Besides the MINI Cooper Electric giveaway, other exciting prizes are also up for grabs at Select Live, including seats in an executive box at Reading FC–as we give fans the opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience at the Select Car Leasing stadium, with a superb view of both the stadium and pitch.”

The Select Live EV expo takes place at the SCL stadium on October 2, and is free to attend but spaces are limited.
