THE SECOND day of Readipop’s three-day festival has been called off due to ongoing bad weather.
Jungle Brothers and Professor Green were among those tipped to be playing at the event in Christchurch Meadows this evening.
It comes following a weather warning issued by the Met Office this weekend, which warns of winds reaching as much as 40mph with heavy showers.
Readipop posted a statement that reads: ” After an amazing Friday night, we are very sad to have to make the decision to close the site today in response to the ongoing Met Office weather warning.
“The festival site will be closed today in order to make the site safe and to avoid any potential damage or injury.
“The Met Office warns that an unseasonably windy day is likely and to expect that some damage to trees or temporary structures such as marquees, tents & inflatables, could occur. ”
