Reading ranks fourth in universities of the south east, 34th in the UK

NEW RANKINGS place the University of Reading among the top five universities in the south east, and in the top 40 in the UK.

The Complete University Guide’s annual survey ranks universities by overall performance to help prospective students make informed decisions about their choice of university.

While the University of Cambridge has leapfrogged the University of Oxford to take first place in the UK, the University of Reading has taken 34th in the national ranking.

Meanwhile in the south east, UoR ranks fourth, behind Oxford in first, Surrey in second, and Southampton in third.

Royal Holloway, University of London, took fifth place in the region.

Professor Amanda Chetwynd, Chair of the Complete University Guide Advisory Board, said:”In the latest edition of the Complete University Guide rankings, we extend our congratulations to the University of Cambridge for securing the coveted top spot.
