Reading FC transfer target Ronan Hale is reportedly ‘ready to make a move’ this summer to keep his World Cup dream alive.
Hale had a breakthrough season with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership last season despite their relegation from the top flight.
The Northern Ireland international netted 18 goals in all competitions for Ross County in his debut season for the club having signed a three-year deal last summer.
The Belfast Telegraph has reported that Hale is ready to move on in order to force his way into Michael O’Neill’s squad for Northern Ireland’s upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.
Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor previously stated that any teams interested in signing Hale will have to pay at least £1million to sign him.
Despite Reading’s interest in the striker, there are also a host of other League One clubs who are considering making a bid for the 26-year-old, including Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town.
Reading manager Noel Hunt has admitted that he is still keen to add to his squad before the window closes at the start of September, while CEO Joe Jacobson said that the club will sign at least four more players to bolster the team.
