Reading winger Randell Williams has signed a new 18-month contract extension with the club.
The 27-year-old joined Reading on a short-term deal in November and has since made eight appearances in all competitions.
Williams scored his first goal for the club in a 3–0 away win against Blackpool, celebrating in front of the travelling supporters.
Manager Leam Richardson said: “Randell has fitted in really well with the group since coming in. He’s settled quickly, shown a great attitude around the place and already demonstrated what he can do for us on the pitch.
“He gives us something different in the wide areas, has the versatility to play in a number of roles, works hard for the team and has adapted well to what we’re asking of him. We’re pleased to have him with us and looking forward to continuing to work with him.”
The winger has previous experience at the top end of League One, having played for teams involved in promotion pushes, and has provided additional options in wide positions since his arrival.
Speaking after the deal was confirmed, Reading manager Leam Richardson said Williams had settled quickly and offered versatility and work rate to the squad.
The new contract will keep Williams at the Select Car Leasing Stadium as Reading move into the second half of the League One season.
