READING FC have been linked with a transfer deadline day double swoop for Nottingham Forest pair Cafu and Lyle Taylor.
With this being the final day of the transfer window until the summer, Paul Ince remains keen to bolster his squad for the remainder of the campaign.
According to Sky Sports, Reading hold an interest in bringing both the midfielder and forward to Berkshire.
Due to squad size limitations, Forest are keen on shifting players out of the club before the deadline which means that Cafu and Taylor are likely to leave.
However, the Royals have squad size issues of their own to deal with and would have to see some outgoings for any movement to take place.
29-year-old midfielder Cafu joined Forest from Olympicaos in 2020 and has played a total of 37 games for the club.
However, he has not appeared for Forest this season after their promotion to the Premier League.
32-year-old forward Taylor has been with Forest since 2020 and has scored seven times in 57 appearances.
Taylor has also been omitted from Forest’s Premier League squad this season.
Taylor spent last season on loan with Birmingham City where he scored five goals in 14 Championship appearances.
