READING FC carried out another protest against club owner Dai Yongge by wearing black during their home match against Burton Albion, while tennis balls were thrown onto the pitch in the 16th minute.

Following on from the last protest at home to Bolton where fans threw tennis balls onto the pitch, Royals fans repeated that process in today’s match, while also avoiding wearing club colours.

Reading owner Yongge has repeatedly been punished for financial mismanagement which has seen the club docked 16 points under his ownership.

The club is currently in talks to find new investment to resolve cash flow issues and has confirmed that several parties are interested in seeking involvement in the club.

The club statement also revealed that Yongge is open to discussing a potential sale of the club.
