Reading FC have bolstered their squad with the addition of a player from the free agent’s market following a successful trial period with the club.
28-year-old full-back Randell Williams joins the club on a short-term deal until January 2026 and will be available for selection for Reading’s match tomorrow evening when they host Stevenage.
Williams has exeprience as playing as both a full-back and also a winger throughout his career which has seen him play for Wycombe Wanderers, Exeter City, Hull City, Bolton Wanderers and Leyton Orient.
He has played at League Two, League One and Championship level and made 14 League One appearances last campaign for Orient, and scored two goals, as he helped them reach the play-off final.
He now joins up with the squad as new manager Leam Richardson looks to bounce back following a shocking late defeat in the FA Cup first-round against non-league Carlisle United at the weekend.
The Royals will be hoping to move further away from the relegation places when Richardson takes charge of his first league encounter tomorrow night but will face tough opposition against a Stevenage side who are in 4th position,
