Reading FC co-owner Todd Trosclair has stated that ‘patience’ is needed when choosing the right players for the club.
Some fans had become disgruntled at the lack of transfer activity from the club so far this summer.
However, the fans were given a boost on Thursday night when the club confirmed the signing of winger Paddy Lane on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
While the attack still looks light, the club are confident that they are building towards having a highly competitive squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
Taking to X, Reading co-owner Trosclair said: “Fellow Royals. The Gov’nor, Gaffer, and Dr Joe “the Big Three” are leading us in a multistep process that I feel will lead this team to where the Royals fans will be extremely happy with. We are still in the early stages of the multistep plans, but it is working.
“Thank you all for the feedback, and I want to stress how important patience is when it comes to choosing the right players.
“Get your tickets while you still can, because the boys are coming together and I believe we will have a winning team.
“FOOTBALL FOR THE PEOPLE!”
