A REGULAR celebration of tv, film, and media is returning to Reading this year.
Reading Comic Con attracts collectors, fans, and families for an event filled with production props, stalls, and scenes from video games, TV, and movies.
Members of production also make guest appearances to meet with fans, pose for photos, and answer some of their burning questions.
This year’s event features Sophie Aldred, best known for her portrayal of companion Ace in Doctor Who, and Tessa Peake-Jones, best known for her portrayal of Raquel in Only Fools and Horses.
Aldred first appeared alongside The Doctor as Ace in 1987’s Dragonfire and most recently reprised the role in 2022’s The Power of The Doctor.
Peake-Jones, as well as her work in Only Fools and Horses, has also appeared in Doctor Who, Grantchester, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, and Dalziel and Pascoe.
They’ll be joined by sci-fi stars Michael Carter, Femi Taylor, Garrick Hagon, and Michael Henbury.
Guest artists David Leach, Pau Scorpi, Nick Gribbon, and Karl Jones will also be attending.
The event will feature props and displays from Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Pokèmon, Spider Man, Mario Kart, and Ghostbusters.
Reading Comic Con is set to take place at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre from 10am on Saturday, April 6.
Tickets are £9 for adults, £5 for children, or £25 for a family of 4, available via: whatsonreading.com
