Reading City FC finished their season with silverware as they were victorious in the Southern Combination Challenge Cup.
Played at the Rivermoor, the Cityzens put on a show by scoring five to ensure they got their hands on the trophy.
Up against Horley Town, City made a lightning fast start when Ellis Cowd smacked in the opener with just three minutes gone.
It wasn’t long before Reading made it 2-0 when Tyler Robinson doubled the lead in the 12th minute.
A quickfire double early in the second-half saw the Cityzens all but put the game to bed as Nathaniel Boakye and Dan Warre both got on the scoresheet.
Horley grabbed a goal back after the hour mark and then made it 4-2 with a ;little over 10 minutes to go as they looked to force an unlikely comeback.
However, it was City who rounded off the final in style with a fifth goal which was scored by Joel Valentin.
Reading City manager Simon Johnson said: “We knew what we would be up against, it came down to having the right attitude and the right mentality.
“It’s not easy to win things in Saturday football, players go through their career without winning anything so I’m absolutely buzzing, they fully deserve it after a record breaking season and it’s a nice way to end.
“After the disappointment of the play-offs against a very good Bedfont side we still knew we had a quarter-final and a semi-final to play.
“It was really important for the group and the club to make sure we got over the line and I couldn’t be prouder.
