A READING pub is inviting residents to enjoy its new outdoor area through a series of launch events this week.

The Good Companions, on Loddon Bridge Road, has been working on its heated undercover section from which guests will now be able to delight in the pub’s range of beers, cocktails and food offerings.

On Thursday, August 17, the Mayor of Reading will mark the official opening with a ribbon cutting at 4pm, while Ashley Stone will be providing live music the next day at 8.30pm.

Over the weekend, a classic DJ will play old school hits from 8.30pm on the Saturday, and the festivities will conclude with a Sunday roast for all the family.

Visitors, and their furry friends, will also have the opportunity to check out The Good Companions’ new garden seating area and indoor decor.
