Conversion of bungalow into school meeting room (PL/25/0957)

The caretaker’s bungalow at Caversham Park Primary School is set to be converted into a meeting and planning room for teachers.

The bungalow on the school grounds has been vacant since March 28 last year, when the caretaker moved.

The school has now won permission to use it for small group work, a meeting area for Teachers and outside professionals and an area for lesson planning.

The change was justified as it will provide a more private area for these meetings to take place.

Gym and playroom for Whitley home (PL/25/0625)

A Whitley homeowner has won permission for a gym and playroom to be installed to the rear of the property.

The owner had built a four walled structure in the garden without permission, which was removed on August 26.

They have since won a certificate of lawfulness for a more modest outbuilding with a gym, playroom and store room on September 3.

The semi-detached house was purchased for £337,000 in June 2021.

Plan for four homes in Reading suburb (Wokingham app 251892)

A developer has applied to build four new semi-detached homes off Whitley Wood Road in Reading.

The project involves building two semi-detached blocks containing four three-bed homes on vacant land in Mitford Close, which falls under Shinfield Parish in Wokingham Borough.

Each home would come with a separate kitchen, a living room and a toilet on the ground floor, with two bedrooms on the first floor and a third ensuite bedroom at roof level.

Each home would come with one parking space, with two homes having garages and two having outdoor spaces.
