A woman who leapt into fundraising action after her mother died from Motor Neurone Disease has been dubbed an ‘outstanding candidate’ for the Fundraiser of the Year award.
Her nominator said Panda Phelan’s efforts in raising awareness for the UK Motor Neurone Disease Association have been ‘exceptional’.
“Following the loss of her beloved and brave mother Linda to this devastating illness, Panda channelled her grief into positive action,” they said.
She organised and took part in charitable events, including walks, music nights and raffles.
