A dance school with successes in getting young pupils into box office smashes such as Barbie, as well as West End shows, has been nominated for Putting Reading on the Map, sponsored by Jacobs the Jewellers and The Purple Turtle.
Their nominator said : “My children have attended JG Dance for many years and they love it. The school retains an outstanding achievement record and the classes are both fun and informative.”
“JG Dance has been successful in their pupils getting professional work, including the new Barbie movie, Bridgerton, the Disney Dumbo movie , West End shows and many more,” they added.
“They pride themselves in offering all students in Reading and the surrounding areas the opportunity to perform at every level.
“They have been established for over 60 years and have helped many children fulfill their dreams.
“I would love to nominate them for a Pride of Reading award and I know they will be very happy to be considered for this honour.”
The dance school has branches in Sonning Common, Tilehurst, Twyford and Woodley among others.
Also known as the Jeannine Greville Dance Academies and Theatre College, the business has been operating in the Thames Valley for 60 years, with many thousands of children passing through the doors.
