An “amazing drag monarch” who organises ‘queer friend’ drag nights, karaoke and performance nights in Reading has been nominated for the Cultural Contribution award.
Jasmin Wade, also known as Big Jay, runs Iota Events.
Their nominator said: “Their most recently organised event is a queer poetry circle.
“They have single handedly created environments around reading where people such as myself can feel safe, seen and appreciated, as well as creating amazing events for anyone queer or an ally for Reading nightlife.”
